wine. And that's exactly what I'm doing right now, enjoying a nice
bottle of wine I picked up at Jerram Winery in North Hartford yesterday.

And continuing the traveling theme, I went off on a week-long business trip to California. While I was there for work, I also tried to get out and visit some places. I went to Santa Monica and Hollywood Blvd.

My boss and I then drove up to the Bay Area for a meeting there. The night before I flew back, I got to go to San Francisco briefly. While there, I went down to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner and a few brews.

Finally, I flew out of San Francisco on Friday morning.

Florida

 

So earlier this month I took a trip down to Orlando to visit my brother. I spent 5 days there and it was nice to see my niece for the first time (she's 5 months old) and my nephew again. I also got a chance to get away from the gloomy days we've had in Connecticut and get some sun and hit the beach.

We went to Clearwater and Dunedin. Weather was magnificent and we had a great time.

A Day of Remembrance: Memorial Day

Let's not forget what the real meaning of Memorial Day is. It is a day to remember our fallen soldiers and their sacrifice for our country. As a veteran myself, I certainly appreciate their selfless service to our nation.

My Daughter's First Visit to Yankee Stadium

This past Saturday, May 24, I took my 6-yr old daughter to Yankee Stadium for the first time. She had been asking me to take her and I finally did. The experience was an enjoyable one by her. As for me, I couldn't be prouder than when I hear her say "I love the Yankees" :-)

Keeping up with Dexter, you may say! No, I just wanted to post this screenshot of Dexter drinking a Presidente beer. For those who do not know and those who've never had one, Presidente is a beer from the Dominican Republic (my native land). A very good one, I must add! Grab one when you can and enjoy the taste of "una Presidente fria".

I must confess I'm totally addicted to this show. Terrific! I don't have Showtime but a friend recommended it and ever since I downloaded that first episode from the iTunes Store, I haven't been able to stop watching it.

I finished Season 1 (12 episodes) in about a week. Now, I am on Season 2! Definitely recommend it to anyone.

Dexter is a serial killer with a twist, he kills bad people and struggles to maintain a normal appearance. Okay, I'm off to download episode 4!
